Yes, legally valid. The agreement is drafted as per your state's rent/tenancy laws with proper legal clauses. You need to print it on appropriate stamp paper and get it notarized/registered as required by your state.
Kitne gawah the? (How many witnesses do I need?)
Do. Two witnesses. Every agreement includes signature blocks for two witnesses with their names and Aadhaar numbers — that is what gives the document its evidentiary weight if a dispute ever reaches court.
Do I still need stamp paper?
Yes — this tool generates the agreement content. You print it on e-stamp paper (available online via SHCIL/NeSL) or physical stamp paper from a vendor. We're adding direct e-stamp integration soon.
What's different about Maharashtra?
Maharashtra uses 'Leave and License Agreement' (not rent agreement) as per the Maharashtra Rent Control Act, 1999. Our template uses the correct legal terminology and structure.
